Objective:

The objective of the project is to give a hands-on experience of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to the Participant. The participant will learn to apply ML-AI algorithms which are model based approaches to build trading strategies.

To understand Options, an option is a contract that allows (but doesn’t require) an investor to buy or sell an underlying instrument like a security, ETF or even index at a predetermined price over a certain period of time. Typical use-cases involve when to buy or sell an option? What options to buy? And so on.

Methodology:

Participants will research and gather publicly available options stock data from various sources. They will use algorithms related to classification/regression/time-series forecast to predict when to buy? What to buy? How much to buy? and so on.

Benefits:

This project will help participants to have first-hand experience of ML in finance industry. Adding to it, it provides sufficient understanding of algorithmic trading in general. You can extend this to stocks, forex, commodities and so on.
